Canada's Youth NEED Entrepreneurial Abilities!
Whether you want to run your own business or work for someone else, Future-proof: Preparing young Canadians for the future of work (2017), researched by the Brookfield Institute, tells us that youth need the skills of an entrepreneur in order to compete in future workplaces.
The goal of the Brock Youth Centre is to work with young people, getting them ready to be their best. Brock Youth Centre workshops run in each of the three North Durham high schools providing students with the opportunity to learn how to develop a business idea and pitch it to a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style panel of judges. We also run evening EDGE workshops for young adults 18 to 29 years of age in each of the North Durham communities.
