Canada’s youth will be entering the world of work in a drastically changing economy. Will they be ready for the challenge?
Brock Youth Centre strives to equip North Durham students with tools for success through Entrepreneurship Development programs and Employability Skills training.
2019 marks the 6th annual Youth Business Idea Competition in North Durham (Uxbridge, Scugog and Brock) where students from each school will pitch their business to a panel of judges, Dragon’s Den style.
The competition consists of two rounds:
1. The Local Round: each high school holds a semi-final business idea competition for students in their school. The top two from each school receive a small cash prize and move on to the finals.
2. The Final Regional Round: the top two business idea pitches from each of Brock, Scugog, and Uxbridge compete for a cash prize of $1000 for first place and $500 for second.
How can you help North Durham youth take their place on the stage?
